This report describes two bugs. Let's start from a mostly empty book. Create a basic BANK account. From bank account, enter some data, or <TAB> to the Account column. Start to type "Income:Sales" 1. Type the first "I". UH OH... freeze. It is a soft freeze which can be released by, for example, <TAB> 3 times, or shift-<TAB> 2 times, or <CLICK> somewhere else. 2. Release the freeze as above. Finish typing "Income:Sales". As expected the New Account window for "Income" opens. Create this new top-level account. Press OK to create the "Sales" subaccount. UH OH... the newly created Income account is not present in the account tree. This is a regression.
Just to clarify I cannot reproduce 1 in Linux but 2 is still present in Linux
I can't replicate the first part on Windows either. The second is a regression of sorts, but the last GnuCash version where it worked was 2.6.21.
Chris, Pushed a fix for the second problem and I am also unable to reproduce the first. Are you happy to close this as fixed?
Fixed. I'll file bug again when I can figure out how to reproduce.
BTW Thanks!
