From https://lists.gnucash.org/logs/2020/05/31.html#T15:47:14 The meaning of abbreviated header column of tables is often not obvisious. Having tooltips there with the full name would help here.
I am inclined to change the column header to either "Credit Note", "Is Credit Note" or "Credit Note?" as there is no space restrictions and change the alignment to centre. I have added tooltips to column headers in the CoA for 'Place Holder' and 'Hidden', missed the one for 'Color' so will add that, so would be inclined to do that if required but with name change there would be no point. Frank do you have a preference?
The other option would to change the column to 'Type', then you would have a list with 'Invoice', 'Bill' or 'Credit Note' just like when you do 'Business->Customer->Find Invoice' or 'Find Bill'
Chris, why do you want to restrict this RFE? Bob, some other 1-char columns: Register: R(econciled), A(???) I don't know, should we do it in Edit invoice etc. with invoiced?, Taxable?, Tax included?, Billable? I like the idea with Type: Invoice, Bill, Voucher, Credit note.
Hi Frank, I don't want to restrict it, but I do want it to be descriptive so I don't have to look at the bug details to find out what it's about. If it's for all column headers it should say so, but that seems too all encompassing to me.
I have changed the Bill/Invoice due reminder column to use the type instead of CN? and this will be in 4.0 The register columns mentioned are more tricky and are more involved in changing and will not make it to 4.0 but will have a think on how too. If any other tree view based come to light I can change.
