looks like:
trial-balance, balance-sheet uses 'average-cost' as basis
equity-statement uses 'weighted-average' as basis

I guess equity-statement is wrong?

addendum:

trial-balance uses 'average-cost'
balance-sheet can use either depending on options.

DM's original patches all used weighted-average originally.
bug 463320 changed trial-balance basis to average-cost.
