I used to be able to type in a file path and name into the file chooser used when opening a gnucash file, or when importing other kinds of files. I recently installed Gnucash 3.5 and now there's nowhere to type things in, which causes several problems: * Using network UNC paths is quite difficult * Cutting and pasting paths can no longer be done * Even when not pasting a filename, it's far more convenient to type out a known filename than to have to read through a long list of files to find the right one to click on * More use of the mouse to locate files means more painful wrists One workaround that I found for some of this is to use a regular Windows explorer window and then drag a file or folder over to Gnucash's file chooser window. Though that works for e.g. QFX file imports, it's definitely not what I would call a good experience.
