Noticed this bug with GnuCash 3.4: when working in an account register, the register UI is very sluggish (downright slow) the bigger the window is. If I reduce the size of the window by half, I can interact with GnuCash in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, interactions with the register (such as tabs, data entry and so on) are EXTREMELY laggy.
I noticed slowness as well, around the time of the GTK upgrade. Just confirmed it's much better with a smaller window. Especially noticeable in scrolling accounts list and opening menus. Running v3.5 in Gnome on ArchLinux.
Chris Berkhout, we don't use the Importance values for prioritizing except to flag enhancement requests, so all changing it does is make the search lists hard to read. As for changing version and OS, the former shouldn't be changed: We assume that a bug is still valid until it's marked RESOLVED, and it's useful to see the first release that it was reported on without having to look at history. The same for OS.
John Ralls, sorry about that. Thanks for setting it straight.
