When trying to set a custom counter for the customer field as specified by "https://www.gnucash.org/docs/v3/C/gnucash-help/book-options.html" => "C - %05li", and applying, the field will not be saved. Tried other fields aswell, new administration or old. Opening up the dialog screen results in an empty custom counter field.
Can you try again with version 3.5, just tried it on my Linux box and it is working, also what backend are you using, xml or sqlite ?
