During the initial set up while importing a QIF file, when the operations get to the "Trading commodities" and the list of commodities is generated the window expands way beyond the range of the display. It seems to me that the left window with the list of commodities should to change to a scrolling window rather than expanding the total window. I am surprised that I did not find that this has been reported before and solved because I am sure I am not the only one with this problem. Commod1 Commod2 Commod3 . . . . . CommodN ______________________________Bottom of the display____________________ CommodN+1 list hidden and not accessible . .
Created attachment 373245 [details] import_invest_too_long.png I duplicated this errant behavior today with Windows GnuCash 3.5. The back/next buttons are somewhere offscreen and I am unable to move/resize the import dialog in which to access them. I was unable to find a workaround to proceed with import of the QIF as is. I might be able to import a sequence of smaller timeblocks hoping to never have more than N number of commodities in a timeblock.. Attached (import_invest_too_long.png) is a screenshot of the problem on my Windows 10 laptop. My external display is "extended" on top of my laptop's display making it possible to have a tall ratio. Yet even with that, the import dialog went offscreen at the bottom.
This has been fixed with the use of an embedded notebook on the tradable commodities page and will be in version 3.6
