Created attachment 372967 [details] 7zip file containing CSV and screenshots 1 and 2 Tried CSV import ----------------------- Error dialog box: An unexpected error has occurred while creating transactions. Please report this as a bug. Error message: No account column selected and no default account specified either. This should never happen. Please report this as a bug. ----------------------- Screenshots show 1- import and matching columns. 2 - evidence that it apparently does read the account column and matches to correct accounts ------------------------- Attached .csv file (with some obsfucating info so I can't be tracked) Some times if I twiddle stuff (Like selecting/deselecting default account,re assigning stuff, etc...can't be more specific than that) I can get it to work. But I haven't found a way to consistently make this work. Usually I get error.
Thank you for your report. I haven't tried reproducing your issue yet. However looking at your sample csv file and screenshots it seems to me your column mappings aren't right. Of course I can't know for sure as I don't know how you are tracking your finances. Can you provide a sample of how you expect this csv file to translate in gnucash transactions ? Like: transaction 1 - split 1: account a, amount y - split 2: account b, amount -y But then with names and numbers that match the csv file
I'm closing this bug report as incomplete as no further information was provided. If you still wish to do so, feel free to reopen the report and add the requested details. Thank you.
