Description Fabio Coatti 2018-06-20 03:48:44 EDT
When using CSV import I noticed a couple of issues on the configuration save.
1) The value for "trailing lines to skip" is never saved, every time needs to be added again.
2) once a configuration is saved, it is not possible to change the saved values.

Just let me know if more info is needed.

Thanks.

Thank you for your report.

I could reproduce point 1) and committed a fix. It will appear in the next gnucash release (3.2).

However I can't reproduce point 2. I created a saved configuration during import, restarted gnucash, loaded the configuration again, made a change (updated the lines to skip at the end) and could save over the existing saved configuration.

Can you provide a more detailed set of instructions that would allow me to reproduce ?

I guess you are right, as I'm no longer able to reproduce the issue, even If I was pretty sure to experienced this issue. I'll keep looking, but I guess the issue can be considered over. While checking, I noticed that the "skip errors" setting is not saved. Is it so by design or should it be saved as well?
Comment 3 Geert Janssens 2018-06-22 14:35:49 EDT
That is by design. The assumption is that you first want to see any errors before you decide to skip them. This is different from the other skip methods which are more related to the format of your csv file.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll mark this one as resolved.
