Description David 2011-03-08 16:30:02 EST
If the main window is reduced such that there is a horizontal scroll bar, then when you tab through the fields in the register, the screen doesn't follow the cursor. One has to manually scroll the screen over to see the active field. Most other applications pan the window so that the active cursor is on screen.

Mac OS X 10.5.8, GC 2.4.0

Closing as obsolete as there have been many changes from the reported version to the current 4.2 version.
Comment 3 David 2020-11-08 11:34:13 EST
Doesn't matter how "many changes have occurred"--this problem still exists, even with 4.2 on Windows 10. I know: I just tried it out. Did you?

OK, I made the wrong assumption, could not find any similar reports.
I totally misunderstood this bug, I see what you mean. I can try and have a look at this.

I have just pushed a fix for this and will be in the next windows nightly and version 4.3.

Please give it a spin so this can be closed or if further changes are needed.

I just downloaded gnucash-4.2-2020-11-22-git-4.2-213-g562b4be22+.setup.exe and tried it out. I think that fixed the panning issue. Thanks!

I should say, I tested on Windows 10 and it works. Don't know about other platforms.
